One of everyones favourite local cricketers - Bruce Hartley passed away on Friday 6 Sept with his loving family around him. Bruce is a life member of both the Leederville and University clubs... testament not only to his longevity obviously... but more so the kind of person he was.
Bruce seems to have played with and amongst us since any of us can remember and played right up until Christmas 2017 - at the sprightly age of 77... and still keen to open the innings!!
The Leederville Cricket Club wish his sons Michael and Ross our sincerest condolences and would also like to let all his cricketing friends know that Bruces funeral will be held this Friday at Karrakatta at 3.30pm - you are all welcome.
Goodbye for now to a fantastic man and a beautiful human being... rest in peace Bruce...
