Each week for the 2018/19 season we will highlight one of our Clubs and find out a little more of the behind the scenes work going on and how they roll!

UNIVERSITY CRICKET CLUB
How are we travelling?: The Uni boys are in a re-build phase this season, after losing quite a few of our top side (2nd Grade) players from last season. So we’ve taken the view we need to develop our younger brigade through the 4’s and hopefully they can once again advance up through the Grades into 2nd and ultimately into 1st. Our Club, like a few others, has over the past few seasons, become a bit aged-heavy, so we are strongly promoting the advancement of our younger guys, and together with our alignment with the University-WACA Club, hope to again build the Club into the top Grades.
Teams: 3 (4th, 6th, 1 Day Central)
Premierships: 10 (Most recent - 2015/16 PCA 3rd Grade)
Annual Subs: Various options - from full-season to short-term, please check our website
Upcoming Milestones: Club legend and Life Member, Martin Ralph, will become the third Uni-meister to celebrate his 400th game for the Club this coming round. Ralphy was the Club’s 133rd member when he joined the Club in 1983-84 as a young 23 year old. Martin is one of the Club’s best all-rounders, making 6870 runs (in a race with Brian Hunter to be the first Uni-meister to 7000 runs) at an average of 19.68 and taken 572 wickets (2nd most for Club) at 18.29, has hit the most sixes (91), Club President 1992-1998, Premiership Captain 1992-93 (3rds), 2003-04 (5ths) & 2015-16 (6ths) and awarded Club Life Membership in 1993. We sincerely thank Martin for his amazing efforts and involvement with the Club for the past 35 years.
