A big shout out to the PCA Women who won their first match against North Suburban at the Wanneroo Showgrounds on Sunday 24th Feb.
The match was a T20 affair with North Suburban winning the toss and deciding to have a bat. Our Ascot based Bastin girls opened the bowling - taking 5 wickets between them. U. Halai from SKLP bagged 3/7 and we also grabbed 2 run outs to dismiss NSCCA for 45 off 19 overs.
In reply the PCA side were able to pass the NSCCA total in the 18th over with 5 wickets down and managed to rack up a total of 5/68 off their 20 overs. The top score for the day went to A.Ward from the PCA side, with 15 not out.
Congratulations from the whole PCA community to our captain Joyty and to the SKLP and Ascot Clubs - where all of our representatives came from. Let's hope these games will become a regular fixture from now on with all Associations involved.
