Hello

Each year in conjunction with the Ellenbrook Rangers Cricket Club we hold an annual Cole Cup, a T20 cricket match for charity in honour of my son Cole who passed away at the young age of 15 from Osteosarcoma (bone cancer).

Cole was an avid sportsman with a passion for cricket and during his treatment which included the amputation of his right arm and shoulder he continued playing cricket with the Ellenbrook Rangers Cricket Club.

As a part of the day, we play a T20 cricket match which in past years has included visits from Bruce Reid, an Australian Test Team player from the Western Warriors, fellow Australian & Western Warrior player, Joe Angel and a special guest appearance from Stacey Marinkovich (Rosman) the current head coach of the West Coast Fever Netball Team.

Our match this year will be held at the Ellenbrook District Open Space (Maffina Parade) on Saturday October the 5th with the match itself starting at about 2pm. During the day we normally have some fun activities such as face painters, fairy floss machines, food and drinks and we are looking for businesses to contribute items / prizes for auctions and raffles.

This year we are raising funds for ‘Make*A*Wish Australia’ which is one of the charities that helped Cole and our family during Cole's treatment by granting Cole his “wish” of sharing the Theme Park Adventures on the Gold Coast with his family and in particular his 6 siblings.

Make-A-Wish Australia was founded in 1985, over 30 years ago, and they have granted over 10,000 unforgettable wishes all over the country to children with life-threatening illnesses.

Make-A-Wish wishes gives very sick children and teenagers hope for the future, strength to face the challenges of their illness, and joy from their incredible wish experience. We are hoping that you would be able to assist us with something for our raffle or auctions.

Thanking you in advance for your support and generosity
