Hi all... first and foremost, we hope you and your family a loved ones are all safe and well.
The State Government provided an update today regarding the health directives following the positive COVID case earlier this week. No indication was provided as to what the future position will be until tomorrow, Friday 5 February.
Based on the current restrictions and the uncertainty over what the situation will be post 6pm on Friday the PSCA Executive has decided to abandon all matches scheduled for this weekend, Saturday the 06/02/2021.
One Day Matches will be fully abandoned and Two Day Matches will become a One Day Match on Saturday the 13/02/2021 under One Day Rules (not 2 day rules).
Please still select your One Day Teams for this Saturday the 06/02/2021 on MyCricket so those that would have played can get this game added towards their season and final qualifications.
‘Points will be split (shared equally between the 2 teams)’ for One Day fixtures abandoned from this weekend.
In addition to the above position, we have had a number of our players, families, clubs and ovals affected by the ‘Wooroloo fires’ in recent days so we have also taken this in to consideration along with the weather forecast for the weekend.
We understand that this decision will not please everyone but ultimately the decision is based on our commitment to player, umpire and member safety within our competition and the health of the greater general public.
Thank you all for your understanding and hopefully cricket can continue in the following weeks leading into a competitive finals series.
Stay safe and well.
