On Sunday, 19th January, the PSCA Masters and Seniors teams competed in their respective grand finals. In a remarkable cricket performance, the Perth Swan Cricket Association representative teams secured victories in two grand finals with very close matches.
PSCA Seniors
PSCA Seniors 9/111 DEFEAT WASTCA Seniors 10/109
The Seniors began strongly, with both openers taking a wicket each, reducing WASTCA to 3/25 after 4 overs. The team maintained tight bowling, with impressive figures from Kush Gorshia 3/10 off 3 and Jeevanpreet Singh 3/11, which helped restrict WASTCA to a low score of 109.
Scoring runs in a GF is always challenging, but Damon Sheppard began the run chase with a six and out, setting the tone, while Gorshia (18) and Cox (25) established a solid early partnership.
There was a challenging period when PSCA lost 4 wickets for 10 runs, but a composed 13 from Jeevanpreet Singh preceded Bhavesh Panchani's arrival at the crease, where he hit a six off the second last ball to secure a one-wicket victory in a tight match!

PSCA Masters
PSCA Masters 5/202 DEFEAT WASTCA Seniors 7/196
The Masters won the toss and chose to bat first, which turned out to be a good decision. Happee Boparai was indeed pleased with his score of 30 off 22 balls, and his opening partner Gaganpreet Singh contributed 12 off 10, giving the team a strong start.
Jason Forde showed great form this summer, scoring a steady 49 off 38 balls, while Jeevanpreet Singh played aggressively, achieving 88* off 41, including 8 sixes and 5 fours, in a spectacular performance. This likely unsettled the WASTCA opponents, but the chase was still ahead.
Similar to the PSCA innings, the WASTCA openers began well until Luke Nattey made breakthroughs by dismissing the opener and the first drop. WASTCA batsman Suresh Perera was making significant progress until he was taken out by the standout player of the day, Jeevanpreet Singh, for 80.
Afterwards, it was a close contest, but the PSCA bowlers managed to take 3 wickets in the last 3 overs, successfully containing the runs and narrowly winning the match by 6 runs in another impressive display of association cricket.
